Stay safe, and we hope you find these exercises useful.

AN AWKWARD AMOUNT OF TIME
Do you ever find yourself with awkward moments of time, where it is not quite enough time before your ‘next thing’ to really start something else in between? This happens to me quite often, and with the extra time I have needed to think about my practice and how best to serve my clients in this time of physical distancing, these little moments have started me thinking, so I have decided to introduce a 2 to 3 minute conversation on social media where on Monday’s and Friday’s at 1.13 pm where I will talk for a couple of minutes – no more – on a really useful or a really interesting snippet that I hope you will enjoy. So I can fill in those really awkward little moments in time. Tune in to our Facebook page, I’d love to see you there! Stay safe, Deb.
A telehealth consult is delivered online with video. We assess you in much the same way that we do in a face to face consult. We ask you a series of questions so we can gain a better understanding of the problem you have and then ask you to do a set of movements or tests we can see online.
Your physiotherapist will then be able to establish a probable diagnosis and provide you with a set of self -management strategies including an individual exercise program. You are given access to an app with videos to assist you to partner with us in your treatment.
In terms of rebates, Workers Compensation clients will be rebated as normal, DVA clients will be bulk billed while clients with Chronic Disease Management Plans will receive a medicare rebate. And as of 14 April, all telehealth clients will receive a medicare rebate. Telehealth consults are charged at a flat fee of $69 for 30 minutes.
We understand this is a big change for many and we have prepared simple guidelines to help people engage with us in this way and will talk you through every step while you become accustomed to online delivery.
We are here to help.
