The isolation period over is finally lifting and some of us are experiencing increased body stiffness in our joints and muscles simply because we have not been using them as much. Globally, people have experienced significant reductions in physical activity since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Working from home and remaining indoors has led to a big decline in daily activity levels and with it and increase in joint stiffness and general aches and pains.
As we come out of isolation is it very important you are careful and pay attention to increasing your activity levels safely to reduce your risk of injury. We have had several people present to the practice for treatment because of injuries related to increasing activity levels too quickly.
If you are concerned or want advice about returning to exercise safely give us a ring at the practice and we can help you.
Don’t hesitate to come and see us. We are here to help. Book online today, or give us a call.
