Move Better for Life Wellness Services include assessments, treatments and group classes as well as a weekly exercise class for people with Parkinson’s Disease.  We also have a focus on Women’s Health and Wellbeing programs, addressing the unique challenges women face.

Our wellness classes include Balanced Bods, Body Reform, Better Balance, Back 2 Backs and Hipsters.   Our classes are small allowing each participant individual attention. Classes are run by a qualified facilitator. Private health fund rebates are available for all our classes.

Classes are run in 10 week terms. Our 2019 term dates are:

Term 1:  4th Feb – 12th April
Term 2:  29th April – 5th July
Term 3:  27th July – 27th September
Term 4:  14th October- 20th December

Please note our Hipsters and Better Balance classes will run in 2 x 5 week blocks over the 10 week terms – with those classes running twice a week.

Balanced Bods

 Balanced Bods offers a combination of floor Pilates, strengthening, balance and flexibility training to keep you strong, agile and help you rehabilitate following back or other injury.

Body Reform

An after work class with a  combination of reformer / floor Pilates, strengthening, balance and flexibility training with specific individual tailored programs to help keep you strong and active in daily life.

Better Balance 

Improve your balance and reduce your risk of falls. A weekly class focused on building strength and balance. Designed for people who are tailored for people who are unsteady on their feet, or have a fear of falling or a history of falling.

Back to Backs

A weekly exercise class focused on building functionality after back pain and injury. This class helps to manage chronic and ongoing back pain through building strength, stability and movement awareness.

Hipsters

A weekly exercise class designed for people before and after hip or knee surgery. This class focuses on strengthening and stabilising joints, improving pain, mobility and balance. Ideal for people with osteoarthritis, people with previous hip and knee injury, and post-surgery.

Living Well with Parkinsons Disease

A weekly exercise class tailored for people living with Parkinson’s Disease. Our classes are based on the PD Warrior program developed by professional physiotherapists at the Advanced Rehab Centre in Sydney. Deborah Hunter, our principal physiotherapist has trained with these physiotherapists and is an accredited PD Warrior instructor.

Gluco-cise

For those living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes. Our exercise physiologist will also provide education around the role of exercise in Diabetes management, and healthy eating choices in accordance with the Australian dietary guidelines.
