Rusden St Physio is excited to be expanding their services to include an Occupational Therapist (OT). This is something we have wanted to provide for a while as it means our patients can get a more complete allied health package. But what can an OT do for you and your families health?
Rehabilitation and aged care:
Helping clients regain or enhance their daily lives after specific events such as hip replacement or stroke is an important part of an OT’s job. They can assess and modify a clients’ home and community environments to improve their safety and independence.Acute care:
OT’s provide specialist interventions in various health conditions including surgery, after a long hospital stay and acute mental health. They assess needs and monitor function and progress.

Your OT can develop coping strategies for clients in overcoming their mental health issues, on the road to improving clients’ confidence and self-esteem in social situations.
Home Visits
Michelle is available for home visits and will come to your home to help assess your needs. This can often involve recommending equipment or aids to help you stay at home and be more comfortable. Ring the practice for more information.
