Many Australians are now required to wear a mask, others are asked to voluntarily wear them where social distancing is not an option and still others are choosing to because they are either vulnerable or out of an abundance of caution. So, is it wise to wear a mask during exercise?

Move Better for Life welcomes Alex Stone, exercise physiologist to our Tamworth team. Alex holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and Master’s degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology (AEP). She is a north west local who completed her studies in Newcastle and Lismore prior to relocating to Tamworth. Alex has several years of experience in the industry working with a variety a people from sub elite athletes through to those with varying chronic health conditions.
Alex has a passion for working with the ageing population and enjoys assisting people with managing their age related barriers to physical activity and improving their quality of life. She has spent over ten years teaching group based exercise programs and enjoys making exercise with her patients easy and fun! Alex enjoys being active around her property with her fiancé and dogs, playing oztag and competing in horse riding events.
Our clinics in Tamworth and Armidale are open 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

Wellness classes are back in swing!
- Living with Parkinson’s on Tuesday mornings. We are running 3 consecutive PD classes on Tuesday morning 8.30 am, 9.15 am and 10 am to limit numbers in each class and allow adequate social distancing
- Better Balance is being on Monday and Thursday mornings – 2 consecutive classes 10 am and 10.45 am each morning to limit numbers in each class for social distancing.
- Body Reformer Pilates will be offered on Monday at 4.30 pm and Thursday at 5.00 pm.
- Active Oaks is back at Oaktree Retirement Village Armidale on Tuesday at 1 pm.
- Better Balance; Strength for Life (Men’s Group)
- Strength for Life (50’s and over) at Active Fitness; as well as a
- Women’s Exercise Group.
