Deborah Hunter Principal Physiotherapist

B Science UNSW; PGD Physiotherapy USyd; B Arts Curtin Uni. Deborah has more than 30 years’ experience as a physiotherapist and has further physiotherapy training in Clinical Pilates and the Integrated Systems Model. Her training and experience offers her patients a unique combination of physiotherapy skills and Clinical Pilates training. She has a keen interest in treating patients with complex conditions and the treatment of back and neck pain.

University of Queensland Steph has worked in multiple allied health clinics in rural remote locations before joining the Move Better team.  She has extensive training and experience in complex injuries with an interest in necks, backs, hips, and shoulders.  Dry Needling: all conditions including TMJ, cervical, headaches, as well as for chronic sinus and migraines. She also has experience in Aged care (ACFI Assessor Qualified) Gerontology and Neurological Rehabilitation.

Shae is a New England local who is a passionate clinician, enabling patients to live their best lives through holistic individualised exercise and health programs. She has a keen interest in the management and treatment of acute and chronic back pain through strength, mobility and stability-based exercise. Additionally, Shae is passionate about exercise interventions for individuals undergoing or recovering from all forms of cancer treatments.

BAppSc Physio, USyd Liz has more than 30 years’ experience as a physiotherapist with 17 years as a professional in workplace rehabilitation. Liz has worked extensively in the New England, and with a range of local business. Liz also has a interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy.

Nicholas Barnes
Podiatrist

Bachelor of Podiatry (hons) QUT Nick has an interest in sports podiatry and currently treats both routine and advanced podiatric conditions with orthotic therapy, dry needling, joint mobilisation and ultrasound therapies.  He has an interest in common feet and lower leg related injuries such as Heel Pain, Stress Fractures and Achilles Tendon Pain. Nick is a member of the Podiatry Board of Australia and regular contributor to ongoing development of the profession, including presenting at state and national conferences in the development of orthotic therapies.

Andrea Howarth

New to the team and Armidale, from the NSW Mid North Coast, Andrea has over ten years experience working in administration roles and holds the value of exceptional customer service above all else. Further to this committed practical experience, Andrea has a keen interest in health and nutrition. This is complimented by her enthusiasm towards working with the team at RSP.

Allied Health Assistant and Remedial Massage Therapist

Dip Remedial Massage Therapy, Cert IV Allied Health Assistant Sam has 10 years’ experience working as a remedial massage therapist, working with teams such as the Brisbane Broncos, QLD Reds, QLD State of Origin, Wallabies and the Firebirds. She has worked as a Sports Trainer with various sports, and has experience as a Physiotherapy massage assistant in aged care.

Dip Management & Leadership/ Dip Business Accounting/ CIV Training and Assessment Tanya is new to the team, but was born and raised in Armidale. She has more than 20 years’ experience in customer service, and over 16 years’ experience managing small to medium teams in both the retail and health sectors. She brings with her an understanding of better outcomes for patients under a holistic, integrated care model, as well as a real passion to see business succeed. Tanya has a keen interest in daily exercise, specifically walking and how it relates to overall health improvement both physically and mentally.

Shane is a passionate exercise physiologist who graduated from the University of New England. He enjoys helping people overcome their barriers, enabling them to live the greatest quality of life possible through a holistic approach to treatment with individualised health and exercise programming. He has a particular interest in the management and treatment of various shoulder conditions. His interest also extends into the treatment of chronic and neurological conditions. He enjoys working in both individual and group settings and establishing that rapport, making rehabilitation as enjoyable and interesting as possible.  Outside of work I enjoy playing local AFL and watching or playing most sports.

Lynette is particularly passionate working in the areas of neurological rehabilitation and aged care. She is dedicated to helping people gain confidence, knowledge and a greater quality of life.

Carmela Birch
Physiotherapist

Physiotherapist B Physio Hons Carmela has a broad range of experience in private practice physiotherapy including orthopeadic rehabilitation, pre-employment testing and aged care. Carmela is also qualified in clinical yoga and clinical pilates. Carmela has a keen interest in exercise classes, orthopaedics and musculoskeletal injuries.

Liam McAuliffe

Physio (Hons 1A) UniSA Liam is pursuing studies as a Doctor of Medicine with UNE. Liam has completed his honours in the area of sports and exercise prescription and is a published author in neurological rehabilitation. He has a keen interest in sports injury rehabilitation with a background in AFL and rowing among other sports.

Bachelor of Physiotherapy, ACU  Imogen is passionate about providing quality patient centred treatment revolving around their goals, whether it is returning to sport, work, or any activity that is being limited by pain. She has a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sports injuries, paediatrics and women’s health. Imogen also has additional training in clinical Pilates and enjoys implementing exercise modalities into her treatment on an individual and group basis.

She has a keen interest in health and fitness from a holistic approach and looks forward to helping the people of Tamworth achieve the fit and healthy lifestyle they are aiming for.

Tara is new to the Rudsen Street Physio Team. She has a Diploma of business from James Cook University, this has assisted her through previous customer service based roles and has ignited her passion for people receiving the best care possible at all times. She enjoys maintaining her own health through regular walking and jogging around Armidale.
